Hey Blog Land!

Oh my gosh! So sorry! I've been so busy, between book stuff, other school, and getting ready for the choir festival! I feel like I've been neglecting my poor friends out here! So, let's get down to buisness!

Right now I'm reading a very good book. It is called "Boy Meets Girl" by Joshua Harris. This book is all about courting! Courting is something I have been thinking about doing once I am in a relationship. I am way too young for that now, and I really don't even want a boyfriend. You guys wouldn't know this but, when my youth leader got married to my other youth leader, I made a big decision. Audrey had made a promise to God that she would stay pure until marriage. To seal this promise she wore a purity ring (I wear one too!), but this big thing was that God told her that she could not kiss until marriage. To a lot of people that sounds all but insane. Isn't that what dating is all about? No. It's not. That's why I took a leap of faith too, when I felt Him tell me to not kiss either. Now I feel myself falling even more in love with Him. That involves my want so badly to bring Him glory, that I want to court my future husband. Because I want to find a man I can follow for the rest of my life, I want to get to know every part of the person I fall in love with. I'm no where near that stage now, but it makes me feel safe to know that I can hide under the wing of my God. I am just looking forward to the love story Jesus has planned for me.

Well, thanks for listening, and I hope this inspires you to live a pure life in the Lord, too.

Howdy Blog Land!

Alright, weekdays are super busy so I don't really have time to post until the evening. I did post earlier today about the pen name though. This is very exciting to me because names are very important in my opinion. Also, I feel very honored that everyone in the Tuesday class loved it! I'm hesitant to give out the author name yet, just because I think it best to wait until the book comes out to give everyone the information.

This is such a blessing from God. I seriously had doubts that I would ever get out into the book world. This is giving me such a renewed confidence in God and myself! I hope everyone enjoys the immense amount of work that was put into Journey of the Cross. We are thisclose to sending it off to the publisher, we are just waiting for the illustrators to send in their drawings. I was an illustrator but I am not the artist that I once was (I like being a writer better). So I did not give my illustrations. oh well. :)

I am working on my signature so that perhaps I could sign some book copies! Authors always have something they say before their name, and I can't come up with a good one. I thought of, WRITING ROCKS! But that is kind of lame...any ideas?

Hey Blog Land!

Sorry I couldn't post yesterday, Tuesday is always super packed.

Boy, do I have news for you! My pen name got chosen for the book! The Tuesday class (that I don't go to) had a UNANIMOUS vote on it! This is so real and surreal at the same time! God is good! I know this is the plan He has for me! Got to go, I have choir practice. I'll keep you posted as my book publishing adventure continues! :D

OH BOY!

Happy Monday Blog Land!

Today I went to English class and we went over ALL of the book stuff. We have our own ISBN number now! This is SO exciting! We went over ideas for pen names, and we came up with the top four! Mine is in the top four! We still have to let the Tuesday class vote, but hopefully mine will be used! I won't put it on here yet, but when the book comes out I will let you know what the "author's" name is! I can't believe I'm finally getting published! The story I wrote is definitely my best work yet! So the journey to Journey of the Cross goes on... I'll keep you posted!
